Hallowe'en Hijinks at Braemar Castle

Our castle witch needs some help- she needs you to complete all the challenges in the castle to get the ingredients she needs for her potion!

Make a giant spiders web in the morning room, sneak past the ghost of the black colonel trying not to wake him, have a dance off in the exhibition room and bowl down some ghosts with some pumpkins in the Clan Farquharson Room!

Then celebrate with a hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows by the fire.

Booking is Essential. Tickets available from Braemar Castle or Braemar Pharmacy.

Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 4.30pm or 6.30pm at Braemar Castle

Tickets: £8 per child, children must be accompanied by an adult- accompanying adults free.

Sustainable Fashion with Gray’s School of Art Aberdeen

We are delighted to be part of the Sustainable Fashion project, created in partnership with Gray’s School of Art Aberdeen. The project produces each year garments designed by Gray’s first-year fashion students who have been inspired by the castle, its history, its landscape, and the influences of its most fashionable occupant, France Farquharson, and her Friend Elsa Schiaparelli. In 2023 we were fortunate to be part of the Fife Arms Festival of Fashion, where the students were able to meet British fashion designer Giles Deacon and talk to him about their creative process.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Went during February half term and still had it to ourselves. It’s closed for tours at this time of year but you can still access the grounds. Car park next to the gate. Short walk from car park to castle doors. Some information around the grounds including audio. Being covered in snow just makes it more magical and is the reason we go so Buster can run around and play. Car park was a little slippy but take care and you’ll be fine.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a nice surprise. We did not plan to visit it but you cannot miss it from the road.
The tour is about 30mn , but you can easily spent 1h. You will find a lot of history details about Scotland, and the clan living here.
I loved the room about the clan with all the weapons and rocks.
