Braemar Castle is situated on the A93 and is serviced by the 201 Stagecoach Bus route from Aberdeen Bus Station. The journey takes approximately 2hrs 15mins.

Accessing

BRAEMAR CASTLE

Getting around the castle and grounds

Access to the garden and grounds, curtain yard and welcome cabin has been improved by the development of our access for all path from the car park through the grounds to the castle and Fog House.

Catering

Please note that there are no catering facilities on site. The village of Braemar is a short drive or walk from the Castle car park and offers a range of cafes, shops and take away options. For more information visit: braemarscotland.co.uk

Drone usage

Please be advised that drone use is not allowed anywhere on the Castle site, gardens, and grounds. If you wish to obtain permission to use a drone, please email info@braemarcastle.co.uk

Car parking

Visitors are requested to park in the designated car park signposted off the A93. A pay and display machine is located in the car park and a £3 fee is charged from dawn to dusk, daily. No overnight parking is permitted. Vehicle and contents are left at owners own risk and no responsibility will be accepted by the management of Braemar Castle for damage, accident or loss.

Please note that car park fees contribute to the ongoing upkeep of Braemar Castle, garden and grounds and are used for the benefit of the Braemar Community.

Booking

For individual visits pre-booking is not required.
