Went during February half term and still had it to ourselves. It’s closed for tours at this time of year but you can still access the grounds. Car park next to the gate. Short walk from car park to castle doors. Some information around the grounds including audio. Being covered in snow just makes it more magical and is the reason we go so Buster can run around and play. Car park was a little slippy but take care and you’ll be fine.

It was a nice surprise. We did not plan to visit it but you cannot miss it from the road. The tour is about 30mn , but you can easily spent 1h. You will find a lot of history details about Scotland, and the clan living here. I loved the room about the clan with all the weapons and rocks.
